Creative Community For Peace DJ Spotlight

Every year, top DJs from around the world perform in Israel. People of all races, religions, and backgrounds go to their shows to sing and dance together in peace. Of DJ Magazine’s top 20 DJs of 2018, 18 have performed in Israel in recent years:

#18 – KSHMR

#17 – Lost Frequencies

Lost Frequencies

Belgium DJ and record producer Lost Frequencies is known for his global 2014 smash hit ‘Are You With Me’, which landed at #1 in 18 countries and went multi-platinum.

#16 – DVBBS

Dvbbs

Canadian EDM duo DVBSS have performed with some of the top acts, including Tiesto, Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix, and played at major festivals around the world. They were voted the “One to Watch” award at the Canadian Urban Music Awards in 2013.

#15 – Avicii

Avicii

Before his tragic suicide in 2018, Avicii had had touched music fans around the world with his catchy remixes and philanthropic efforts.

#14 – W&W

Since 2007, the Dutch DJ and production Duo W&W have transcended genres and has arguably become the most sought-after electronic music duos, having dominated dance floors and festivals across the globe.

#13 – Alok

Alok

Brazilian DJ Alok, best known for his worldwide hit ‘Hear Me Now,’ was recently ranked 11th best DJ in the world.

#12 – R3HAB

R3hab

R3HAB has remixed the top musical icons from Taylor Swift and Madonna to Drake and Coldplay.

#11 – Steve Aoki

Billboard charting DJ, music executive, and record producer Steve Aoki has been designated as the highest grossing touring dance artist in North America. He has collaborated with some of the most famous acts in pop music and beyond.

#10 – Marshmello

Anonymous DJ and producer Marshmello is becoming one of the fastest rising dance producers in history, having landed Spotify’s Top 10 most listened to Artists in the world. He is the go-to dance producer for any pop star looking for a hit.

#9 – Oliver Heldens

Oliver Heldens

Oliver Heldens, who hails from Rotterdam, has been called a pioneer of future house music, having propelled the genre to international attention with his hits ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’, ‘Last All Night (Koala)’, and ‘The Right Songs.’ He has over a billion cumulative streams on Spotify.

Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer Afrojack released his debut album in 2014 and is now regularly featured as one of the best artists in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ list.

Tiesto

Superstar Tiesto is arguably the most popular DJ in the world by peers and fans alike.  Having toured the world countless times, he has also received two Grammy nomination, with one win.

At Creative Community For Peace (CCFP), an organization comprised of prominent members of the entertainment industry dedicated to promoting the arts as a means to peace, defending artistic freedom, and countering the cultural boycott of Israel, we applaud these DJs for taking their music to Israel, bringing people together, and creating pockets of peace and coexistence.
